Busy day at the AFD

On March 22, 2008, the Saturday before Easter, few Audubon firefighters were afforded the luxury of sleep.  At approximately 2:30 that morning, the Fire Department was dispatched to and worked at a house fire at 188 Carlisle Road until around 7:00 that morning. No more then a few hours later, Audubon's Quint was called into a Dwelling fire in Gloucester City.  At approximately 5:00 PM that evening, Audubon's Quint was yet again sent into Gloucester City to courtesy cover Headquarters as they worked at an Apartment Fire.  While the Quint covered Gloucester City's Headquarters, a very minor brush fire on Washington Terrace in Audubon was handled by the Squad company.  The Quint returned to Audubon for no longer then an hour or two before yet again being sent to courtesy cover Gloucester City's Headquarters as they fought a Dwelling Fire on Nicholson Road.  The 22nd certainly showed just how dedicated the Volunteer Firefighters of Audubon are.
